Psychosexual Therapy
Psychosexual therapy is a form of talking therapy that focuses on sex, intimacy, and relationships. This work is always contextual — shaped by your lived experience, relationship history, and any physical or emotional factors that may be affecting your sexual wellbeing.
I take a bio-psycho-social approach to sexual difficulties. This means I consider biological, psychological, and social influences on sexual health. At the start of therapy, we’ll explore your personal history in detail, which helps me create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Therapy may include behavioural exercises between sessions, agreed upon together at a pace that feels right for you. These tasks will always be sensitive to your cultural background, religious beliefs, sexual identity and individual preferences. The aim is to build confidence and safety, not pressure.
Psychosexual therapy can be intensive, especially if sexual difficulties are rooted in past trauma or negative experiences. I work in a trauma-informed way, offering a safe and compassionate space to explore your concerns, helping you feel more at ease and confident in your own body.
This therapy is available to both individuals and couples. You do not need to be in a relationship to attend. I invite you to explore your experiences, desires, and concerns with me — in a space free from judgment, where your voice is heard and respected.
